Kith’s sponsorship along with Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen served the brand unto purpose by giving it relevancy in the fashion world. Bahnsen had a fantastical touch in florals while mesh and satin details build into the silhouette and claim it as hers. These relationships from ASICS have not only brought attention to Kith, but also centered hype driven sneakerheads and those fascinated with fashion that admire comfort and blending aesthetics.
The early 2000s is back, and with it the GEL-Kayano 14 shoes have gained the popularity they rightfully deserve. These mark the wonderfully curated blend of modern and vintage designs aesthetically blending angular styles with pliable functions. While the sneaker's updated shape does retain its athletic roots, it now replaces his modernism bent streetwear. The plated satin elements give these a futuristic touch while reminding one of tech trends of yester years. The chunky sole, bold and femmy floral mesh upper gives these softened appeal. One can easily mistake them for haute couture. These wildly rigid and nostalgic trainers curved from the techno style will certainly fascinate fashion lovers.
